I was watching a coach teach his soccer team. I thought he did three things well:
- Offer lots of encouragement
- Give very specific instructions
- Provide rationale for the instructions
One thing he didn't do so well:
- Ask for questions
Also at end, it would help to review and fit the lessons in the big picture view of what the team is trying to accomplish.
